Photography is not about cameras, gadgets and gizmos. Photography is about photographers. A camera didn’t make a great picture any more than a typewriter wrote a great novel.

Let me give an idea of the roundabout way I picked up a camera and found a new love. It and most of my life have been surrounded by a love of the outdoors. After graduating from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2003, I spent over fifteen years working for several marketing and advertising companies.
In the spring of 2005, I got my first chance to work in film. I spent four months in Guatemala filming some of the most well-known names in the sport fishing industry catching monster sailfish, marlin, and various other species. This was the turning point for my love of film and photography. After my return home from Guatemala, I decided that working in the outdoor industry is what I wanted to peruse. It just happened that my years of growing up to be an avid sportsman lead me to working for PSE Archery in Tucson, Arizona in the spring of 2006.
Spending two years filming TV shows for PSE Archery that aired on The Outdoor Channel. This opportunity let me develop and hone my skills using various cameras. In the spring of 2008, my desire was to return back home to Montana. I founded Sensory Photography in the summer of 2008. Since, then I have been professionally photographing outdoor weddings, seniors, events, portraits, automotive, landscape, wildlife and commercial photography.
Some of my professional commercial photography clients are: The Outdoor Channel, PSE Archery, Mossy Oak, Browning Archery, Evergreen Aircraft, Kodak Digital Cinema, Mossy Oak, Nikon, Vortex Optics, MSD Performance Products, Edge Performance, Superchips, Montana Silversmiths, and images seen on Evine TV.
I strive to continue to provide professional photography, and help create unique personalized photography for every client. Providing you a memorable experience and leave you with the highest quality photos every time.

Knowing how to pose people and having an eye for form are key.
Photography means painting with light. And that’s what I do. You paint a picture only by adding light to the things you see.
Years of taking photos learning to compose an image are essential for a good photograph.
Twenty years of being a designer help me capture the uniqueness in each individual.
Light makes photography. I Embrace light. Admire it. Love it. But above all, I know light. Know it for all you are worth, and understand light is key to photography.
You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. I bring to the act of photography all the pictures I have seen, the books I have read, the places I have been, the years of experience.
I use the latest Canon Camera Equipment, Godox Lighting, and a large collection of other photography equipment. Using all the best technology has to offer.
I strive to provide the best quality photographs possible. Everyone can take a photo, but it takes a true eye for photography with the attention to details. This ability to reproduce that level of quality every time, is what separates me from every other photographer.
Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.
Photography is not about cameras, gadgets and gizmos. Photography is about photographers knowledge. A camera didn’t make a great picture any more than a typewriter wrote a great novel. -Peter Adams-
